“Butler is a big receiver who presents mismatch size for the NFL. He had 60 receptions for 1,318 yards and nine touchdowns in 2018. It was a big jump over his sophomore year when he recorded 41 catches for 697 yards and seven scores.”
Here’s the thing, who actually believes that Butler will reach the 6th round?
One thing that is clear in my mind is that Hakeem Butler who has plenty of length does not remind me of another tall receiver that has been famous, and that is Kelvin Benjamin. I see more athleticism in Butler to start with, and more toughness in comparing the two players.
I would be willing to bet a lot of GM’s who may not have a lot of picks this year, or aren’t really in need of a receiver are still going to pray that Butler does by some miracle be either available in the 6th round, or does indeed become a free agent. His phone will be burning up his pocket ringing 30 seconds after the draft ends if he is missed in this draft.
