“Hockenson was a surprise early-entry into the 2019 NFL Draft. It wasn't a bad decision though, as he could be the first tight end selected. While splitting targets with Noah Fant in 2018, Hockenson totaled 49 receptions for 760 yards with six touchdowns. He has good size and showed some impressive receiving skills over the past season. To go along with being a receiving mismatch weapon, Hockenson is a quality blocker who should quickly develop into a three-down starter in the NFL.”
As a 49ers fan my question is would putting two very talented T.E.s from Iowa on the field together at the same time be unfair? The Kittle, Hockenson combo would bring a new standard to the two tight end set schemes! If there is a player I would endorse trading back into the first round for. Hockenson is it!
