“Adderley has impressed evaluators, and some teams have him graded higher over more high-profile safeties. Adderley racked up nine interceptions over the past two seasons, and he improved his tackle production every year over the past three seasons. Scouts say that Adderley is a true free safety with good range downfield and makes plays on the ball. They say that Adderley plays hard, runs around and smacks people, but he has a cornerback build, so he should get stronger to tackle in the NFL. He had a good week of practice at the Senior Bowl.”
“Sources believe that Adderley could easily go in the second round of the NFL Draft and has a shot at being a late first-round pick. Adderley could be a steady riser in the leadup to the 2019 NFL Draft. He totaled 86 tackles, four interceptions, seven passes broken up and a forced fumble in 2018.”
There is such an abundance of potential where the 49ers need the most help this season. Adderley is ideal for the scheme defensive scheme the 49ers are currently running. His ball hawking and tracking skills are just what the doctor ordered. The 49ers may be using that 2nd round pick to trade back up into the 1st round again this season. I can see it all coming now…
